Merry Christmas!

We've had a busy few weeks! Holiday parties, finishing up the nursery and, of course, Christmas!! We're both trying to save up on sleep these days to get ready for Colton (does it work that way?) and enjoying time with our families the past few days!! 37 Weeks!

Amazing that we are going to meet Colton in the next few weeks. Alison looks amazing as you can see in the picture oveab. The house is ready, and we have a ton of baby gear we have yet to actually use. Thanks to everyone for the wellwishing- we will keep you posted!

Better late than never...

I just realized that I didn't post anything about the FABULOUS baby shower that Colton's grandmas and aunts-to-be hosted a few weeks ago. It was a perfect day and we were overwhelmed by the generosity of all of our family and friends. Now it really feels like we are ready for his arrival. Thanks to everyone who attended!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We headed over to Hyde Park this weekend with the Perez and Mota families to see the Christmas tree lighting. It was great to spend time with close friends and the weather even made it into the 40s last night, so it was a perfect time to celebrate the start to the holiday season!!

Florida Hospital Gala 2009

We attended the Florida Hospital Gala again this year. A beautiful event and it is always fun to dress up. Jennifer Hudson provided this years entertainment- 2 days before she entertained the president at a state dinner!

The Count Takes Over Google

The Count was always my favorite Sesame Street character. Google honored the anniversary of Sesame Street by handing over the logo to him today.

Tigger tests the nursery for Colton

Tigger has been tirelessly testing the new nursery as we have been putting it together this week. He has tested the crib, the changing table and the glider. So far everything is safe and sound!

As many of you know, the infamous "Pink Room" will become Colton's bedroom. We have been working hard this week along with Alison's parents (Stan & Nancy) to transform it from a girl's princess playland to Colton's relaxing retreat. Here are some "before" photos for your enjoyment.

Week 30 Belly

Colton continues to grow! We will have some ultrasound photos for you this weekend.

A Pug Filled Halloween

We missed the Winter Park pet trick or treating this year, but that didn't stop the pugs from getting dressed up to hand out candy to the neighborhood kids.

Alison is almost 29 weeks and there is no doubt Colton is growing quickly! We didn't officially announce the name on the blog, so we will do so in this post. We have decided to name our son Colton Robert Conley. Robert is Jordan's middle name and Colton is a name that we came across in our scouring of different baby name books.

New Pictures of Colton

We had our 28 week Ultrasound today (although Alison is one day short of 29 weeks), and everything went great! Colton is measuring right on schedule, 50 percentile in size and about 2.5 lbs.

Things that make me grin from ear to ear

Okay, I was tagged by Alison for a list of 5 things that I love. I have multiple friends that are unhappy about our last post of re-joining the blogging world, and then not keeping it up to date. In fact, Alison threatened today that I had to post "or else". So....

1. Chocolate fondue - Really, chocolate anything, but fondue is a whole different story. Tonight, as dessert of choice in the Conley house, it was especially yummy with the fabulous strawberries I picked up this afternoon!

2. Harvey and Lily - According to Mikayla and Brianna, these two are the best reason to visit our house. Boo-yah!!






3. HGTV - I aspire to create a living space that this station would feature on their network.

4. Champagne - This is a relatively new love for me. Thanks to the Hoffmans for introducing me to the world of Veuve Clicquot Rose. Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles!!
5. The beach. Anywhere, anytime. Trunk Bay on St. John tops my list.
